Pokemon HeartGold Breeding Question? (: Thanks?

So I have a question on breeding in Pokemon Heart Gold. Recently I got a Japanese Squirtle over the GTS. I'm going to breed it with my Ditto, which is American. (My Pokemon HeartGold game is American). Will the baby Pokemon be American or Japanese? I'm thinking it will probably be American, since my game is American. Thanks in advance for any help!
