Does alcohol dialate your pupils?

a friend had taken me to the hospital because i drank to much. i dont remember ever leaving the house but apparently i kept trying to walk a kept falling over and stuff. i had blacked out about an hour i think but the first thing i remember was seeing a doctor looking at me. they said my eyes were extremely dialated and wouldnt respond to light. ive read that alcohol constricts your pupils so im confused. i had a bal of .24
