Is Witch Hazel or Hamamelis good for hair thickening?

I jus got a layered cut, and i think the hairdresser thinned out my hair too and now i have a feeling it luks too thin. I want my old thick hair back, is witch hazel or any other natural stuff like olive oil, rosemary, etc. help speed up hair thickening or growth?
