Should i wear the locket even tho his pictures not in it?

well me and my boyfriend have been datin for almost a year now and i have 2 go to flagstaff 4 christmas and i have this locket and i wanna get a pic of him to put in it but he wont give me 1 yet so should i wear the locket anyway to just remember him better? so if i need him i can look at the locket and know hes there for me? or should i not wear it cuz it has no picture of him in it? i mean i told him if i had the picture in it itd have him closer to my heart but should i wear it? and no he didnt give me it lol
