Why isn't Nick Swisher a possibility for the CF spot in NY?

Melky and Gardner both can't hit and they have two right fielders in Nady and Swisher. Both Nady and Swisher have played CF, especially Swisher, by wouldn't Cashman set it up - Damon LF, Swisher CF, Nady RF? In case they don't get a deal done?
