Why do all states not recognize parental alienation syndrome?

I think that there are quite a few issues that are unfair, that being one of them. Another is a parent can have custody of a child and not file for child support for YEARS and then one day just say, hmmm maybe I should do that. The other parent could have been buying clothes and all sorts of things the whole time. It doesn't matter to the courts. It happened to my step mother, and it was really sad.
