Why is the Muslim Youth Becoming Militant?

As I surfed through the internet and other video sharing sites (primarily youtube) I noticed that more and more young Muslims are eager to do jihad. It’s like they think it’s cool or something. Why is it popular for teenage boys who are Muslim to have militant ideas? Is this like a fashion thing? Is it hip now-a-days to fight the unbelievers in battle?
